Author Information
Stacy Tornio has written six nature and gardening books that all focus on getting kids and families outside. She is a native Oklahoman, who now resides in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she enjoys watching her two children explore nature in their own backyard and beyond. She has numerous freelance credits to her name, and she was formerly the editor of the national birding and gardening magazine Birds & Blooms. Stacy lives in Greenfield, WI.
Ken Keffer was born and raised in Wyoming. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Wyoming in Wildlife Biology and Management. He has worked extensively as an environmental educator in Alaska, New Mexico, Wyoming, Maryland, Ohio, and most recently in Wisconsin. Ken is also a freelance writer who has contributed to Birds & Blooms, Parks and Recreation, and Outdoors Unlimited. Ken lives in Milwaukee, WI.
Together, Stacy and Ken have co-authored four books including the popular Kids’ Outdoor Adventure Book. They also run the Destination Nature website encouraging kids to get outside.
Rachel Riordan is an illustrator, designer and crafty mama living and working in rural Ontario, Canada. At age 3, she first put pencil to paper drawing rabbit after rabbit trying to perfect find the perfect one. Since those early days her work has been featured in advertising, editorial and children. Rachel illustrated The Kids Outdoor Adventure Book and others with our authors.
