Author Information
Dr. Edwin Scholes is a scientist, author and explorer, curator of biodiversity video at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. He has studied the birds-of-paradise for more than a decade and is a leading authority on their behavior and evolution, co-author of Birds of Paradise (National Geographic, 2012).
Photographer Tim Laman is a field biologist and world-renowned wildlife photojournalist. Tim holds his PhD in Biology from Harvard University, and an associate at Harvard’s Museum of Comparative Zoology. He is a contributing photographer for National Geographic magazine and co-author of Birds of Paradise in 2012.
Andrew Leach is a science illustrator, landscape architect and artist. He holds a certification in Science Illustration from the California State University (Monterey Bay), a degree in landscape architecture from Temple University, and a degree in Fine Art from Kutztown University. Andrew is a featured Science Illustrator for The Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s Bird Academy website.
